6 week Core & Pelvic Floor Restore: Hypopressives Level 1 (Female only)

Course Format

A 6 week female only course for women who want to learn a holistic approach to feeling emotionally balanced, physically strong and in control of their feminine health.

6 x 45 minute sessions, 6.15pm- 7pm on Thursdays 12th, 19th, 26th Sept, (one week break) 10th, 17th, 24th Oct 2024, at Canolfan Beaumaris LL58 8AL.

Who’s it for?

Suitable for females 18 years and over, who are new to Hypopressives or those who would like a refresher of Hypopressives breathwork, with progression to Level 1 Flow.

Hypopressive exercise is a whole-body approach to core and pelvic floor health that can be enjoyed by people of any age, size, shape or fitness level *please see health cautions below.

For prevention and management of:

  • Back/pelvic pain
  • Misbehaving bladders
  • Prolapse
  • Abdominal separation (DRA)

And for better:

  • Breathing
  • Circulation and lymphatics
  • Core and pelvic floor muscle function
  • Digestion
  • Exercise endurance
  • Posture
  • Relaxation
  • Sleep
  • Sex
  • Tummy tone

What to expect

Groups are kept small, so I am able to monitor each individual and offer ample attention and feedback.

Week by week we will build Hypopressives practise. By the end of the course you will be able to practise a full Level 1 Hypopressive Flow safely and independently, combining breathwork with a flow of postures in standing, kneeling, sitting and lying.

The format is relaxed to allow flexibility of pace, problem solving and discussions along the way. Typical topics for discussion include the workings of the core and pelvic floor, and tips to support our intimate health.

Are there any limitations to who can do the workshop?

The vacuum element of Hypopressive breathwork is not recommended if you are pregnant or affected by any of the following health complaints;

  • an active cancer
  • cardio-respiratory disease
  • uncontrolled blood pressure
  • acute inflammatory gut disorder such as Crohn’s Disease
  • had recent abdominal surgery or hernia

This is because, during the Hypopressive vacuum, pressures within the body are lowered. This ‘vacuum effect’, may not be tolerated in people with the conditions above, but
will not affect your ability to do and enjoy the other elements of Hypopressive exercise.

Upon booking you will required to complete a short health questionnaire to ensure that where necessary the technique is modified to suit you.

If in doubt, you must seek advice from your healthcare provider/GP before booking a place, I will not be able to make judgement on your fitness to participate on the day.
